Person Specification & Role Expectations
We’re looking for practitioners who love working with children, care deeply about emotional wellbeing, and bring a reliable, positive, and team-focused approach to their work. If you’re someone who believes in the power of creativity to support and inspire young people — we’d love to meet you.
We’re looking for a practitioner with:
3–5 years’ experience delivering creative workshops, drama therapy, or wellbeing-focused work with children aged 7–11 (Key Stage 2), Key Stage 3, or vulnerable adults with mental health needs.
A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
An Enhanced DBS (or willing to undertake a DBS check paid for by the charity)
The practitioner will:
Work closely with the co-facilitator and Project Leader to adapt the project’s scheme of work and session plans to suit the group’s needs.
Attend online safeguarding training (paid for by the charity).
Lead the sessions in line with the charity’s safeguarding policy and best practice guidelines.
Take part in the project evaluation, which may include a debrief meeting and/or feedback forms.
Being part of Wellness Warriors is not just about delivering workshops — it’s about joining a project where you can see first-hand the difference the arts can make. Practitioners often tell us how rewarding it is to watch children grow in confidence, express themselves, and develop new tools for wellbeing.
Arts Bridge Charity is a Black-led organisation, working within low-income communities where there are also high populations of people from global majority backgrounds. We are strongly committed to representation and equity in the arts and wellbeing sectors and are particularly keen to hear from applicants from underrepresented groups.
If you’re excited by the idea of making a real impact through creative practice, we’d love to hear from you.
Workshop Audition
Friday 9 May 2025, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a group workshop audition. The session will include some playful, practical exercises and relaxed discussion, giving you a chance to get a feel for the project and for us to learn more about your facilitation style.
The audition will take place in person, with an online option available for those unable to attend on site.
