IGNITION YOUTH THEATRE

Commissioned by Dunraven’s Secondary School, Lambeth, Ignition Youth Theatre gave young people an opportunity to experience conservatoire style training as found in UK drama schools.

Igniting a passion for the arts, Ignition developed confidence, performance skills and helped make arts career aspirations feel more attainable.

Students were referred to the courses by Heads of Year and the majority of pupils were ‘targeted students’ – Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME), Pupil Premium/Free School Meals, Special educational needs – aged 11 – 16 years. The sessions were delivered by led by BAME practitioners currently working in the industry.
